OBR revises up growth forecast

Graph-Up-Thumb.jpegSpending Review 2015: The Office for Budget Responsibility has revised up its growth forecasts for the UK economy for the next two years.

Delivering his spending plans for the next five years, chancellor George Osborne revealed growth of 2.4% was now expected in 2016 and 2.5% in 2017, marginal rises on the level forecast at the March Budget.

The full forecast for the five-year period is:

  • 2015 – 2.4%
  • 2016 – 2.4%
  • 2017 – 2.5%
  • 2018 – 2.4%
  • 2019 – 2.3%
