UK developer Outlet Centres International is planning to open 10 to 12 retail outlets across Europe in the next five years.
OCI has identified the next three sites it intends to develop in Italy, the Benelux countries and in southern Spain, near Malaga. The site in Italy will be in Tuscany on the road that links Rome and Florence. The site, which will hold 100 shops, has a catchment of 14m people.
Planning consent is being sought for each site. Hans Dobke, OCI managing director, said: “The goal over the next five years is to open 10 to 12 outlets across Europe with three to four in each of the core countries.”
