Chemicals giant Associated Octel is relaunching its 34.4ha (85-acre) Ellesmere Port site as the Cheshire Manufacturing Park in a bid to win tenants for unused land and vacant buildings.
In a move which mirrors developments at the Wilton chemical site in Teesside, Octel is looking for tenants for around 9,300 sq m (100,000 sq ft) of office, laboratory and warehouse space and up to 6.9ha (17 acres) of redundant land.
Development manager Debbie ONeill said: “Our business is still operating on this site, but we have redundant assets – whether workshops, offices, laboratories or land – that were inviting other companies to fill out. Weve got all the facilities they need, from a canteen to a medical centre.”
Octel is managing the project.
The Cheshire Manufacturing Park has the support of the North West Development Agency.
