Two deals on Homer Road in Solihull, South Birmingham, have taken a total of 8,546 sq m (92,000 sq ft) off the market in the town’s prime office pitch.
British Gas is taking 4,830 sq m (52,000 sq ft) at 51 Homer Road, where National Home Loans is the head leaseholder, while Amdahl has signed up for around 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft) in the same building.
And in another move, British Gas has decided to stay in its own building at 31 Homer Road rather than searching for another occupier, which effectively removes a further 6,503 sq m (70,000 sq ft) from the market.
BG and Amdahl have signed five year terms at rents thought to be less than the quoting figure of £191 per sq m (£ 17.75 per sq ft).
