Office building in E1 approved
Tower Hamlets council approved City North’s plans for a 275,000sq ft office building at 44-61 Prescot Street, E1, this week. The site for the 8-storey building, designed by EPR Architects, previously had planning permission for 175,000 sq ft in separate buildings. It was bought from the Kennedy Leigh Charitable Trust in 2000. EPR partner Brendan Phelan said: “This scheme allows enormous floorplates, and a high degree of flexibility.” Some 23,000 sq ft will be used for retail. Quoted property minnow City North announced “disappointing results” this week.
