International exams group Cambridge Assessment has received planning permission for a new office development of up to 450,000 sq ft on Shaftesbury Road in Cambridge.
The new development, called The Triangle, will house all the Cambridge-based staff, who are currently based at 11 different sites, by 2018. The company is aiming to reach full capacity of 3,000 staff by 2025.
The builds will mostly be four or five storeys with the exception of a 39.1m tower.
Andrew Spendlove, Cambridge Assessment Group property director, said: “We are delighted that we are now able to proceed with our plans to create a building that is sensitive to its surroundings as well as creating a fantastic place for our staff to work that offers additional high quality employment opportunities as we move towards full capacity around 2025.”
