Office with resi planning and former church for sale at next Bond Wolfe auction

A Walsall office building with planning permission for conversion into flats, will go under the hammer in the next Bond Wolfe sale on 27 October.

The late Georgian terrace (pictured) at 32-34 Bradford Street and the adjoining property at 2 Bradford Lane are jointly listed with a guide price of £435,000-plus (lot 82).

Bond Wolfe joint managing director for auctions Ian Tudor said the opportunity could suit other alternative uses as well as residential, including medical and educational, subject to planning.

“Whatever the end use, this property offers a major redevelopment opportunity in the town centre and is likely to attract considerable interest from investors and developers across the UK and even overseas,” he said.

The Walsall office is among 157 lots due to appear in the auction.

Another development opportunity is a former church in the centre of Coventry. The 0.3-acre site, on St Columba’s Close, has a long leasehold of 1,000 years from 1664 and is guided at £200,000-plus (lot 16).

The catalogue also includes further ground rent lots from Birmingham City Council at guides ranging from £70,000 to £300,000 (lots 1-3).

The auction will be live-streamed and interested parties must pre-register to bid via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding online, by telephone or proxy.
