The Office of Fair Trading is investigating the Environment Agency’s plans to launch a commercial property search operation.
Rival private sector companies say the plan could leave them “dead in the water”.
The investigation follows a complaint from Sitescope which provides environmental property searchers for commercial developers, homebuyers, estate agents and surveyors.
