Old English Pub Company spends £1.53m on four new outlets

Old English Pub Company has bought four pub restaurants for £1.53m. Two are in Gloucestershire and two in Oxfordshire. They have a combined turnover of £1.2m and an estimated profit before tax of £120,000. They will be refurbished in the group’s style of log fires and flagstones.

The company announced plans to treble the size of its operations when it floated on the Alternative Investment Market last year. It had originally planned to achieve its target over three years but it has already increased its portfolio from 22 to 54 pubs since coming to the market.
