Old Oak and Park Royal chief exec moves to RTPI

Victoria Hills is stepping down as chief executive of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation chief executive to join the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Hills will start her new chief executive position on 16 April 2018, replacing Trudi Elliott, who has been in the role for more than seven years. An interim OPDC chief executive will be announced in due course along with the timetable for recruiting a permanent successor.

Hills was appointed in autumn 2014 to establish and head up Old Oak and Park Royal, the mayor’s second Mayoral Development Corporation, which oversees one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects with the potential for 25,000 homes alongside millions of square feet of business space on its 1,600 acres spanning three boroughs.

Chair of the RTPI board of trustees, Graham Stallwood, said: “Victoria joins us as our membership is fast approaching 25,000 and our research and policy work is having increasing impact and influence.

“She will be a powerful addition to our campaign promoting the value of planners and planning both in the UK and internationally.”

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, said: “I would like to thank Victoria for her leadership, commitment and dedication as chief executive of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation. This is one of the most important regeneration sites in London with capacity for thousands of genuinely affordable homes.”
