Old Vinyl Factory scheme gets consent

Old-Vinyl-FactoryHUB and Bridges Ventures have obtained planning permission for the Material Store, a 183-home development in Hayes, west London.

The scheme forms part of the £250m Old Vinyl Factory regeneration project.

The 17-acre Old Vinyl Factory scheme will deliver 630 homes in addition to 750,000 sq ft of commercial and leisure space – including offices, a museum, restaurants, shops and bars.

The 100,000 sq ft Record Store building will become the home of the Central Research Laboratory, a tech incubator.

The Old Vinyl Factory master plan was granted planning consent by the London Borough of Hillingdon in 2013.

Steve Sanham, development director at HUB, said: “We are delighted our proposals for the Material Store have been accepted, and with planning permission granted we can look forward to moving onto the next phase of what is promising to be west London’s most exciting regeneration project.”
