One Hyde Park officially opens today

The Candy brothers’ luxury residential scheme One Hyde Park opens its doors at lunchtime today.

One Hyde ParkIn keeping with the high-profile, aspirational marketing of the 86-flat development, the official launch kicks off with a champagne reception followed by lunch featuring a menu “designed” by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.

Practical completion took place before Christmas and more than £900m of homes have been sold.

Project Grande, the joint venture between Qatar and CPC Group that has developed the scheme, has already let two shops to luxury car manufacturer McLaren Automotive and Jardine Motors Group and luxury watch brand Rolex. The Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is understood to be paying a record rent for the third and final shop.

It has now brought the retail element of the development to market through Cushman & Wakefield and Michael Elliott. The jv is seeking £50.4m – an initial yield of 3%.

The development has already seen a newly designed entrance open at Knightsbridge tube station. It is located adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental hotel, on the Hyde Park side of Knightsbridge, and is positioned to align with one of the development’s glass circulation cores.
