Online gives boost to bricks-and-mortar

Some 89% of UK retail sales touched a physical store last year, for example through click and collect or online sales that were researched instore, analysis by British Land and Verdict shows.

Physical retail sales got a 5% boost as a result.

Pure online retailers account for a third of online sales, with bricks-and-mortar retailers taking two thirds.
