Lord Haskins says that tourism in Cumbria will be back “with a bang” once the foot-and-mouth crisis ends.
Lord Haskins made his first appearance in the county since the prime minister appointed him his envoy to the region.
The British Tourism Authority has warned that the industry is likely to be hit next year by the introduction of euro notes and coins in the euro-zone.
