Cheshire-based Orbit Developments has let 17,800 sq ft of offices at Salford Quays in one of the area’s biggest deals of the last year.
The occupier, Contour Homes, has taken a 10-year lease at the speculatively developed second phase of the Quay Plaza scheme, paying £16.50 per sq ft.
The scheme was completed this month.
Other tenants at the scheme include IT training consultant SAS, medical recruitment specialist Medacs and Timbmet Door Systems.
Hannah Johnson, surveyor at Orbit Developments, said: “Having signed a deal so soon after the phase completed is astonishing.
“The letting confirms Salford Quays’ standing as a real alternative to Manchester city centre premises.”
Donaldsons and Canning O’Neill acted as joint agents for Orbit.
