Orchard close ready for picking

Orchard-Close-1

The northern wing of a Grade II listed Georgian villa that was once frequented by Victorian poet Algernon Swinburne, whose aunt owned the house, is being offered by Clive Emson in Hampshire.

Orchard Close was completed around 1802 and overlooks the English Channel from Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. The lot includes living accommodation with four bedrooms and a separate flat, as well as 1.2 acres of land.

The package remained unsold at Clive Emson’s 19 June auction in Southampton but is available with a guide price of £248,000.
