Orchard Street Investment Management has appointed Legal & General Investment Management senior fund manager Mark Russell as a new partner.
Russell worked at LGIM for 10 years, overseeing its flagship £3.2bn managed property fund. During his time there, he oversaw more than £2.5bn of transactions in the UK market.
Before LGIM, Russell was a portfolio manager at Prestbury Investment Holdings for more than three-and-a-half years from 2006. He was also a senior asset manager at LGIM for six years until 2006. Russell began his career at Jones Lang Wootton (now JLL) in 1996.
Russell will join Orchard Street’s partnership in October and report to managing partner Philip Gadsden. He will also become a member of the investment committee.
Gadsden said: “His extensive experience will be invaluable in helping us to continue promoting our new business ventures as well as managing the existing £4bn of assets under management for the firm’s existing clients.”
