Next’s property director has joined the board of Warehouse REIT.
Former Landsec man Dominic O’Rourke has been made an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
O’Rourke became group property director for the fashion retailer in 2014. He oversees Next’s real estate activities across retail and store development, distribution and facilities management.
Prior to that Rourke spent 13 years at Landsec as director and retail executive committee member.
The appointment of forms part of Warehouse REIT’s succession strategy, following Martin Meech’s decision not to stand for re-election as SID at the company’s AGM. Meech is taking up an executive position in the real estate industry.
