The Guardian says the building Amancio Ortega is buying in the City of London is being acquired in the name of his family investment company, Pontegadea.
The Spanish billionaire behind the Zara fashion stores has reportedly paid Deka £140m for 100 Wood Street.
The Norman Foster-designed office building comprises 153,000 sq ft of space.
