A Norman-era medieval castle in Oxford that has been converted into a hotel has been put up for sale by Trevor Osborne’s Osborne Group for £42m.
The developer has instructed JLL to market the 95-bedroom hotel. The capital will be reinvested back into the company’s development pipeline. The building was previously used as a prison before being converted into a hotel in 2006.
Boutique hotel brands Malmaison and Hotel du Vin were bought earlier this year by Asian hotels firm Frasers Hospitality UK for £363.4m.
