Owner occupier buys Quayside House, Granary Wharf, Leeds

Investment management group BWD Securities has paid £2.225m for the freehold of Quayside House, Granary Wharf, Leeds (pictured). The 1,115 sq m (12,000 sq ft) building, developed by CTP St James, will form the new headquarters for the Yorkshire-based stockbroker.

Quayside House is the latest phase of the regeneration of a once-derelict canal basin on the Leeds & Liverpool canal, which has been carried out jointly by CTP and St James Securities. Other occupiers in the £30m development include Baird Textiles, Allied Dunbar and the Medical Protection Society.

With all the completed space now occupied, the developer plans a further phase of 6,698 sq m (72,000 sq ft) of offices. DTZ Debenham Thorpe, King Sturge and Hill Woodhouse are joint agents.EGi News 06/08/96
