Oxford City Council seeks agent for new homes programme

Oxford City Council is on the hunt for an agent to help advise on the delivery of its new homes programme.

The council’s housing division, Oxford City Housing, is looking to appoint an agent to market seven housing developments which are close to delivery stage.

The selected agent will also help bring to the market an additional eight sites currently in the planning and feasibility stage, as well as other sites in the pipeline.

Oxford City Housing is looking at building more than 200 homes under the programme. An additional 500 homes could also be built.

According to OJEU procurement documents, the winning agent will set out a “clear and well-structured strategy” for the developments from the pre-marketing stages to completion of sales.

Up to three agents could be chosen for the contract. The price of the contract has not yet been disclosed and deadline to tender is the 7 February.

Oxford City Housing has plans to build up to 2,000 new homes over 10 years, half of which would be affordable.
