Goodman has exchanged contracts to create a new 81,000 sq ft headquarters building for British Gas at its 88-acre Oxford business park.
Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, has agreed a 17-year lease on the office building.
Work on the development, which will house around 1,000 British Gas employees, is scheduled to begin in September, subject to planning consent.
The building will be BREEAM Excellent rated, featuring most of the energy efficiency technologies that British Gas offers, said Centrica.
Strutt & Parker and VSL advised Goodman; BNP Paribas Real Estate and Hanover Cube represented Centrica.
