Plans for a 50,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme on a prime site on Oxford Street, W1, have been given the go-ahead.
Co-Operative Insurance Society’s buildings at 149 and 151 Oxford Street, and 59 Berwick Street, will be knocked down for a new retail-led scheme, which will also comprise offices and six flats.
ESA-part of Capita Symonds, has been appointed to design and deliver the development.
Following consent from Westminster city council, work on the scheme will begin this month, with completion expected in Spring 2013.
