P&O puts Birmingham site up for sale

A 20-acre site zoned for employment uses, which could hold 400,000 sq ft of industrial space, has been released to the market in Birmingham.

P&O Roadways Container Logistics has instructed Harris Lamb to sell the land, which fronts the M6 between J6 and J7.

The College Road site, used by RCL since 1964, has 16.5 acres to the north of the motorway, with the remainder on the south.

It’s one of the city’s largest land releases in recent years.

Last autumn, sixteen bidders went head-to-head for a 10.5-acre site in Aston, eventually acquired by Slough Estates for a speculatively-built £20m scheme to offer 235,000 sq ft of industrial space.
