The number of over-55s withdrawing money from their pension pots accelerated in Q2, with 159,000 withdrawing a total of around £1.7bn.
That means that more than 770,000 people have withdrawn a total of £6.1bn since pension rules were reformed last year.
The amount taken out in Q2 averaged some £11,000.
