Paddy McKillen heads for appeal

Paddy McKillen plans to apply to take his battle for control of Maybourne Hotel Group to the Court of Appeal.

The Dublin-based developer’s decision comes after the High Court denied him leave on Tuesday to take the case against the Barclay brothers to the Supreme Court. Mr Justice David Richards also ordered McKillen to pay the Barclay twins and their associates £6m of legal costs within the next 42 days. Another judge will be appointed to consider the rest of the cost claim.
