Hartford Care and Highwood Group have teamed up to develop a 50-bed care home in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
The building would also feature a library, café and hairdressing salon. The scheme is thought to be worth around £6m.
Construction on the building has now started, and is due for completion in early 2013.
Christie + Co brought the two parties together to form a joint venture.
