Bouygues Development and central London residential developer Londonewcastle have been selected as preferred development partner by Brent council for a £65m residential-led project in South Kilburn, NW6.
The project, adjacent to Queen’s Park station, is a new mixed-use development comprising 144 homes, 28 of which are affordable, and 5,200 sq ft of commercial floorspace.
Housing association L&Q will acquire the affordable homes.
Construction is expected to start in early 2014 and be completed by November 2016.
The development forms part of the £400m regeneration of South Kilburn, which aims to deliver 2,400 new homes.
Councillor George Crane, Brent council’s lead member for regeneration and major projects, said: “This new development will be a real asset to the regeneration of South Kilburn. It opens up this desirable part of Brent to buyers who often have to compromise location for size or quality. Our aim is to develop housing of a high standard, in great neighbourhoods, to suit most budgets.”
