Pan-African real estate investor doubles down on London listing

A pan-African real estate investor is shifting its listing to the London Stock Exchange’s premium listing segment as part of a push to raise its international profile.

Mauritius-based Grit Real Estate Income Group de-listed from the Johannesburg market during the summer, making London its primary stock quote. At the time, chief executive Bronwyn Corbett said the move would “provide the company deeper and wider access to capital markets”.

The company will now move from a standard LSE listing to premium on 22 January. In a stock market update, the company said the change would allow it to be included in FTSE indices, raise its profile in the capital markets and allow it to raise fresh capital.

Grit also plans move its domicile from Mauritius to Guernsey.
