Panattoni hires Eurobox chief to lead investment management arm

Panattoni has launched an investment management arm, appointing former Tritax Eurobox chief executive Nick Preston to head the new offer.

Panattoni Investment Management will provide Panattoni with additional pools of capital.

Preston will report to Robert Dobrzycki, chief executive and co-owner of Panattoni Europe and India. He is tasked with forming discretionary pools of capital with longer investment horizons to supplement the company’s existing investor base.

Before he joined Tritax EuroBox in 2017, Preston worked at Grosvenor Fund Management, where he helped grow the business, particularly in the Nordics. He also previously played a key role in growing CBRE Investment Management’s UK business.

Preston said the move gave him “a significant opportunity to help the company grow by tapping into new sources of capital”.

“This is an opportune time to be investing in logistics following the recent price corrections that have taken place,” he said.

“The market fundamentals remain well placed with robust occupier demand and constrained land supply and low vacancy levels. We are going to be opportunistic in our investment approach, with discretionary mandates allowing us to react quickly to opportunities as they arise.”
