Panattoni plans Northampton spec sheds

Panattoni plans to speculatively develop 625,000 sq ft of industrial space in Northampton, in the Midlands’ Golden Triangle.

The Panattoni Park Northampton prime industrial and logistics development comprises three units of 92,170 sq ft, 221,571 sq ft and 309,631 sq ft, which are due for completion by the end of 2019.

There are two build-to-suit projects of 260,000 sq ft and 780,000 still available at the park.

Savills and Burbage Realty have been instructed as leasing agents.

Oliver Bertram, development director at Panattoni, said: “Not only can we offer large platforms, but in a location where we have seen a number of sizeable requirements.”

The sheds are being developed in the Midlands’ Golden Triangle

Charles Spicer, industrial director at Savills, added: “After being involved with the site for a number of years, it is hugely exciting to see construction works starting.  The speculative development will deliver much needed grade A industrial supply in the Golden Triangle.”

California-founded Panattoni entered the UK logistics market last year when it took over West Midlands industrial developer First Industrial. The company committed to invest £300m, buying land and speculatively developing 3m sq ft a year.
