Oxford City Council and Nuffield College are seeking a development partner for their 1m sq ft Oxpens scheme in the city.
Bidwells and JLL have been appointed to find a partner to bring forward the mixed-use project, which is to include residential space, offices, hotels, shops, and leisure space.
Fielden Clegg Bradley was appointed as masterplanner last year.
Oxpens will be located opposite John Lewis and between the new Westgate shopping centre and Oxford railway station, adjacent to a new 500-flat scheme by Student Castle that was granted planning consent earlier this year.
Bidwell’s senior partner Patrick McMahon said: “[Oxpens] offers a chance to deliver a significant mixed use development at the heart of Oxford on a scale unseen before in the city.”
