Patisserie Valerie opens in Woking

Patisserie Valerie has signed a 15-year lease for a new café at Wolsey Place shopping centre in Woking to open this autumn.

A deal has been struck with Woking Shopping – a joint venture between Moyallen and Woking borough council – for a 2,050 sq ft café.

The news follows the announcement last month that TopShop is upsizing to create a new 6,000 sq ft store in Woking, to open later this month, and is a third larger than the brand’s current store in the town.

Moyallen asset manager Tim Buckley said: “We are delighted to have secured this letting to Patisserie Valerie and it supports our drive to reposition Woking as a better-quality shopping destination.

“Their imminent arrival also adds to our previous letting activity to Prêt, Paperchase and Jones. With footfall continuing to grow and positive trading figures being achieved across the centre, it is all indicative of a resurgent Woking town centre.”

Nash Bond and Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Moyallen and Woking borough council; Patisserie Valerie was unrepresented.
