Paul Cross resigns as MD of Simons Group

The managing director of East Midlands-based developer Simons Group has resigned.

Paul Cross joined the privately-owned Lincolnshire group four years ago and was a director of the group as well as MD.

Chairman and chief executive Philip Hodgkinson will become acting MD of the group when Cross leaves in December.

Hodgkinson said: “Paul has done an excellent job over the last four years, and the developments business is in good shape. We will miss him and wish him every success in the next phase of his career”.

The company has an annual turnover of £200m and undertakes construction, development and consultancy services.

The company’s schemes include Trinity Walk, a £175m scheme in Wakefield, and Criterion Place, a £200m mixed-use development in Leeds city centre.

Simons has offices throughout the East Midlands, South East, South West, North East and North West England.
