A former Colliers director is to launch a new Bristol property auction this month under the Paul Fosh brand.
Jay Ridsdale, now a consultant with the Newport-based auctioneer, will head up the Bristol operation.
The sale will take place on 24 October at the Holiday Inn, Filton, Bristol.
“We are convinced that there is a huge demand for a Bristol-based regional auction serving the south-west of England,” Ridsdale said. “With the size and strength of the economy, large catchment population and motorway links, Bristol is the ideal location.”
The new business aims to serve Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Gloucester and Bristol.
Owner Paul Fosh said: “We are thrilled to get our new business underway and also to have been able to appoint someone of Jay’s calibre and experience to help us to establish and then to rapidly expand our presence in Bristol, the South West and the West of England.”
The auction house is also planning to open a new auction sale based in north Wales.
