Peabody appoints interim CFO

Housing association Peabody has appointed Eamonn Hughes as interim chief financial officer.

The promotion comes ahead of the planned departure of current CFO Susan Hickey on 31 January.

Eamonn is finance director in the development and regeneration team. He will be in post as interim CFO from 3 February. He worked for Berkeley Group and KPMG before joining Peabody in 2018.

Peabody chief executive Brendan Sarsfield said: “I’m grateful to Susan for all that she achieved for Peabody over the years. We could not have delivered our record investment in homes and services last year without effective financial stewardship, and I should like to wish her all the very best for the future.

“Eamonn already successfully leads one of our largest finance portfolios in the organisation. He is supported by a high performing team, and will ensure that we continue to have robust financial and risk management while we recruit a permanent CFO.”
