Simon Peacock has been appointed as JLL’s lead director of the South West and Wales region.

He will succeed Jeremy Richards, who is stepping down from the role at the end of this year.

Richards will take on the role of chairman of the South West and Wales region from January 2017 after nearly 14 years as head of the Bristol office of JLL, including five as head of the region.

Peacock, who is director of project and development services, has worked at JLL for more than 16 years.

Chris Ireland, chief executive of JLL, said: “We are very grateful for Jeremy’s immense contribution to the success of the business in the region and we are delighted that his influence will continue as chairman of the South West & Wales region. We are very fortunate to have such a strong and experienced team in the region to take the business forward.”

The advisory firm is set to move to new offices at 31 Great George Street in Bristol, where it agreed a 15-year lease earlier this year.
