Media and education company Pearson will be taking most or all of Furness Withy/Markfield Properties’ 66,500 sq ft (6,178 sq m) Lighthouse in Salford Quays.
It will use the space to service a seven-year contract with the Driving Standards Agency from September 2004. The quoting rent is £19.50 per sq ft (£209.90 per sq m).
The five-floor Lighthouse is a joint venture between shipping firm Furness Withy and Markfield Properties. Mark Tucker, previously head of office agency at FPD Savills, formed Markfield Properties 18 months ago.
