PedElling for Coram

Three days, 49 women, 400km, more than 5,200m of climbing and a whopping £50,000-plus raised for Coram. This was PedElle 2019.

Now in its seventh year, the charity ride, founded by Jen Ross of Tibbalds and Claire Treanor of Treanor Consulting, brings together women from across the entire spectrum of the built environment to forge business bonds and friendships while raising huge amounts of money for charity.

This year the PedElle, organised by Club Peloton and sponsored by Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets, travelled from Siena to Rome, taking on the blazing Tuscan sun and hills.

The team’s efforts were rewarded with some stunning vistas, amazing food and perhaps even the odd glass of pretty delicious wine.

And when the times did get really tough under temperatures that hit more than 40C, the women riding were able to push a little harder up the next hill in the knowledge that the money they were raising for Coram was helping to create forever families for some of the country’s most vulnerable children.
