Pension fund gets green light for Vernon Park warehouse

Staffordshire Pension Fund has secured planning consent for a 122,700 sq ft warehouse at Vernon Park, near Wolverhampton at Junction 1 of the M54.

The building will accommodate both manufacturing and storage and distribution use classes at Vernon Park, which is home to J Banks , DHL and Mann Hummel.

Mike Sutherland, chairman of the county council’s pensions committee, said: “In line with the pension fund’s climate change strategy, environmental sustainability forms a key part of the design. Combined with wellbeing features and high-quality materials, the building will create a modern, attractive and efficient work environment in line with modern-day demands.”

Colliers advised Staffordshire Pension Fund and Bulleys Chartered Surveyors. The consultancy has also been appointed as marketing agent.
