The government’s Pensions Regulator has signed for a new Brighton office.
The regulator, which is part of the Department for Work & Pensions, has taken 36,100 sq ft on assignment from American Express at Dawnay Day’s 133,000 sq ft slice of Trafalgar Place, next to Brighton station.
The deal will allay fears of a government exodus following the Lyons review.
The Pensions Regulator is taking all six floors at Trafalgar Place’s Napier House at around £16 per sq ft. It is vacating 20,000 sq ft at the adjacent Invicta House, which is being marketed by Lambert Smith Hampton. Stiles Harold Williams and Trammell Crow acted for American Express. LSH advised the regulator.
