Soil tests have just begun for the most ambitious residential proposal in Dubai – the Pentominium – a fusion of the words “condominium” and “penthouse”, now copyrighted by Trident International.
The locally based developer is a bit shy about revealing the height – beyond saying it will be “more than 500m tall”: so, at least 1,650ft high.
There will be 120 flats – just one on each floor – giving each buyer 6,500 sq ft of “unsurpassed world-class luxury” from UK based architect Aedas, whose concept is of apartments “floating” within the building’s frame.
Completion is scheduled for 2011. Each unit will be sold for between £1.5m and £5m.
