Langler to head C&W’s French logistics team

Mélinda Langler has been appointed as head of Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics department in France. Langler has been with C&W since 2007, having also worked at CB Richard Ellis.

Allianz promotes Gross

Allianz Real Estate has appointed Mathias Gross as head of asset management at Allianz Real Estate Germany GmbH as of April. Reporting directly to CEOs Stefan Brendgen and Alexander Gebauer, Gross will take on this new role alongside his current position as head of the asset management division responsible for northern Germany.

Otmar joins Tristan

Ali Otmar has left Peakside Capital, formerly Merrill Lynch Global Principal Investments, to join Tristan Capital Partners as executive director of Investments.

Sonae Sierra appoints Guilabert

Sonae Sierra has appointed former business manager for Spain, Juan Carlos Guilabert, as European key account manager. Guilabert, who joined the Portuguese shopping centre specialist in 2004, has 23 years’ experience in the retail sector. His former position will be occupied by David Molinero, who joined Sonae Sierra 11 years ago as business coordinator for central-southern Spain.

Trio join Savills in Paris

Savills has recruited three staff for its Paris office. Serge Vayer has left BNP Paribas Real Estate to join Savills as deputy director of its west Ile-de-France office lettings department. Christophe de Cambourg and Grégoire Lembo have also joined Savills France.

Hansteen appoints non-execs

Hansteen has appointed Richard Cotton and Humphrey Price as non-executive directors and promoted Richard Lowes to group finance director.

Gousset joins BNP Paribas

BNP Paribas Immobilier has appointed Pascal Gousset as managing director of its Mediterranean residential department. Gousset, who has also worked for Bouygues Immobilier, will be responsible for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, through BNP Paribas’ Nice and Marseille offices.

Van Gerrevink to leave VastNed

Reinier van Gerrevink is stepping down as chief executive of VastNed. He will support management until the end of this year. The move follows the untangling of VastNed Offices/Industrial and VastNed Retail. Taco de Groot will become chief executive of VastNed retail and Tom de Witte will be chief financial officer. Both were part of VastNed’s management. Henk Porte will become chief executive of VastNed Offices/Industrial, while the company is still looking for a chief financial officer. Porte was member of the company’s supervisory board.

Analytical duo join DTZ

DTZ Asset Management has recruited two financial analysts. Omar Doughan and Yolande Bernard-Bruls have joined the company’s Paris and Dresden offices respectively.

Executive change at Banque Invik

Catella’s private credit card banking arm, Banque Invik, has made a change to its management. Fredrik Sauter, who was appointed chief executive of Luxembourg-headquartered Banque Invik in September last year, will step down and be replaced by Anders Thonning, who was formerly Nordnet Luxembourg’s chief executive. Sauter will now become chairman of the Invik board.

Gabetti appoints Vettore

Italian property group Gabetti Property Solutions has appointed Bruno Vettore as chief executive officer of its Tree Real Estate holding. Vettore also serves as chief executive of Gabetti Franchising, one of the group’s three agencies along with Professionecasa and Grimaldi Immobiliare, which is headed by Tree’s new CEO.

WP Carey promotes Lefleur

WP Carey & Co has promoted Jeffrey Lefleur to managing director. Lefleur, who works in London and New York, will still be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing transactions in Europe for WP Carey’s CPA® series of non-traded REITs. He helped to close the company’s first investments in Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden.

Prew leaves Nomura

Property analyst Mike Prew is leaving Nomura after the bank decided to downsize his team. His role at the Japanese bank as managing director for equity research for real estate has been removed and the equity research team is currently in a period of consultation. Prew is one of the industry’s best-known analysts and has developed a reputation as one of the City of London’s more bearish property commentators after calling the market ahead of the 2007 crash, while working at Lehman Brothers as head of real estate equities.

Execs leave Homburg Invest

Richard Homburg and Richard Stolle have stepped down as chief executive and chief operating officer of Homburg Invest. They are developing a new privately owned global real estate venture. Homburg Invest has appointed Jan Schöningh as president and chief executive of the company. He is currently president of the North American operations.

Ortega returns to JLL

Juan Manuel Ortega has returned to Jones Lang LaSalle in Spain after a five-year absence. He has been appointed office director in its investment department in Madrid. Ortega left Jones Lang LaSalle in 2005 to first join UBS and then later to join up with Colliers International, where he served in the position of real estate investment director.
