CB Richard Ellis has appointed Andrew Bowe associate director. He joins from storeys:ssp in Leeds, where he worked as a senior planner. He has been recruited to further strengthen CBRE’s planning division in Birmingham. Bowe will be responsible for a wide range of commercial, residential, leisure and mixed-use schemes as part of a comprehensive planning service (01216 097666).
Culverwell has announced further expansion to its Glasgow-based retail agency team. Derren McRae has joined the team to assist in shopping-centre lettings and expand high-street acquisitions and disposals. McRae was formerly with Donaldsons and FG Burnett (01412 486611).
Galliford Try has appointed Alan Flood managing director for its investments division. Flood, previously general manager, has worked within the industry for over 30 years. Other notable promotions in investments include the promotion of Andrew Richards to deputy managing director and Peter Cossins to operations director (01245 216253).
Teesland iOG, the property fund and asset manager, has appointed David Lawrence UK and Europe managing director of its development and project management subsidiary (020 7659 6666).
Drivers Jonas Scotland has made a number of graduate appointments. Stefan Barron joins the building department; Paul O’Sullivan and Kerrie McGuire have both joined in planning and development; and David Frame joins the agency department (01412 264200).
City Offices has appointed Phillip Botes and Warwick Hunter development surveyors to support its increasing programme of central London projects. Botes joins from Botes Group, where he was involved in business development and property development, and Hunter from Drivers Jonas, where he was on the West End agency team (020 7814 1000).
Drivers Jonas has appointed Simon Edwards as associate partner in the landlord and tenant team, based in the Mayfair head office. Previously a director at White Druce & Brown, Edwards has also worked for GVA Grimley, GEC and Invensys. He specialises in all types of property disputes and, at DJ, will be dealing specifically with dilapidations and service charge challenges (020 7896 8225).
Retail property adviser Hammond Phillips has appointed Clive Snashall director in its agency division (020 7487 5678).

Knight Frank’s European valuation services team in London has made two senior appointments. Philip Walker has been appointed partner. He is currently a director in valuation advisory at CB Richard Ellis. Deborah Watt has been appointed partner. She has 10 years’ European and UK experience, having worked as commercial fund manager for Grosvenor in London and as an office asset management director in Madrid for Grosvenor/Grupo Lar (020 7861 1283).

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has appointed Tomas Bristedt to the retail wholesale Nordic team. Based in Sweden, he will be responsible for marketing MLIM’s mutual fund range and will report to Peter Leane. Bristedt joins from ABN AMRO Asset Management, where he was head of third-party sales for Sweden and Finland (020 7743 2922).
Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Jonathan Simpson to expand the industrial agency business at its Teesside office.
