RCG promotes fubert
French advisory Retail Consulting Group has appointed Fabrice Fubert as vice-chairman. Fubert, who was promoted from his role of investment director, joined Paris-based RCG in 1998 and has headed RCG’s investment advisory since 2005. RCG has also made asset management consulting and leasing director Ludovic Samyn a partner.
Lamothe joins CBRE
CB Richard Ellis Investors has hired Jean Lamothe as president of CB Richard Ellis Investors Europe. He will oversee direct investment programs and lead new business initiatives in Europe. Lamothe served for 16 years with the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec in various capacities, joining CDP as managing director for Latin America before being appointed president of CDP Capital International and managing director of CDP Asia Investments. He has also served as president of CDP Real Estate Europe.
Hawkpoint appoints orr
Hawkpoint Partners has appointed former Jones Lang LaSalle European chief executive officer Robert Orr as a senior adviser focusing on the real estate sector. Orr will work with Edward Arkus, who leads the corporate finance adviser’s real estate practice. Orr’s tenure at JLL lasted almost 30 years, of which seven were as European CEO and three as a main board director.
BNP reim appoints aubin
BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management has appointed David Aubin as managing director. Aubin has been with the BNP Paribas group since 2007.
Troukens joins BayernLB in Paris
German bank BayernLB has recruited Philippe Troukens to its Paris office. Troukens, formerly with ING Real Estate, has previously worked in Paris and London for Hypo Real Estate as well as Citigroup.
JLL’s Roberts steps down…
Jones Lang LaSalle’s director and chairman of EMEA research, Nigel Roberts, has decided to leave the firm to pursue client-side opportunities. He joined JLL in 1981 and was instrumental in building the company’s consultancy and research team. He then went on to establish the Pan-European research team in the early 1990s, and became chairman of EMEA research in 2008. JLL has appointed Grant Fitzner as its head of EMEA research. He replaces Paul Guest, who will be global capital markets research director in Singapore. Both will take up their new appointments in January. Fitzner has previously worked for the UK’s Department for Communities and Local Government as chief analyst and chief economist, as well as HSBC and the Australian government. Guest, who joined JLL in London in 2007, previously worked as chief European economist for Moody’s.
…and dryden replaces mayhew
Chris Dryden is replacing Robert Mayhew as head of strategic consulting and valuation department in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Moscow office. Dryden has come from DTZ where he spent 10 years, the past six in the Russian capital. Mayhew will be relocating to JLL’s London office at the end of 2010 to take a senior role in the valuation department the English business.
Knight frank opens in barcelona
Knight Frank has opened an office in Barcelona. The firm, which has its Spanish headquarters in Madrid, has named Alfredo Pérez Pons, a former executive with Dinamyc Capital, as head of its Barcelona office.
