The Cambridge office of Savills has appointed Oliver Diggins (pictured right) as an associate in the building & project consultancy team. Diggins has more than 10 years’ experience in the commercial property sector, and joins from Arcadis, where he specialised in large-scale new-build and fit-out project management. At Savills, Diggins will primarily focus on commercial, bio-science, education and industrial & logistics sectors.

Cluttons commercial agency team has recruited Henry Brewster (pictured second from right) as an associate partner in London. Brewster joins from Kinney Green, where he focused on the office market. In his new role, Brewster will work with Freddie Pritchard-Smith and the commercial team, which has been developing an offer focused on the changing needs of occupiers and anticipating new developments in the market.

GVA has appointed Jonathan Essex (pictured second from left) as a director in its retail, hotels and leisure team, strengthening its lease advisory offer, particularly in the licensed and leisure sector. Essex has more than 15 years’ experience, most recently at Colliers where he was a director in the licensed & leisure department, leading the lease advisory team in the south.

Boyer has recruited Vanessa Rowell (pictured left) as a senior planner in the Wokingham office. Rowell joins from Wokingham Borough Council, where she worked in the planning team, advising primarily on strategic development and policy work. At Boyer she will support the planning team on a range of planning applications and site promotions in and around the Thames Valley region.

Malcolm Hollis has made the following appointments: Liam Costain, design technician, Manchester office; Sean Doherty, associate, Irish offices; Ruth Jayeola, engineer, London City offices;  Stephanie Mosa, rights of light building surveyor, London City office; Anthony Watmon, engineer, London Battersea office; and  Arjan Bijleveld, consultant, Netherlands office.

Bruton Knowles has promoted Harry Breakwell as an associate in the land development team. Breakwell’s role includes appraisal, disposal and acquisition of residential and mixed-used development land and strategic land, as well as conversion opportunities. He has experience working across the development sector with private landowner clients, local authorities, developers, land promotion companies and charities.

Richard Ward has set up niche property advisory business Ward Property Consultants. Based in London, it specialises in retail and leisure property and mixed-use development.

Savills has appointed Claire Herriot as an associate to its business space agency team in Aberdeen. Herriot joins from Knight Frank, where she spent more than six years working in the industrial agency team advising clients across the north-east of Scotland. At Savills, Herriot will continue to operate in the industrial sector, advising both landlord and tenant on matters including leasing, sale and development.

Robyn Gilmour has been appointed as head of business development and marketing at Dar’s European design centre in central London. As a strategic leader, Gilmour will work directly with UK managing director Andrew Loudon and the senior team to lead the company’s development and expansion in the UK and Europe.

Management consultancy and research house UnWork has appointed Will Walker as innovation consultant. In his role he will work with companies that are exploring and developing new ways of performing and advanced real estate strategies. Walker is experienced in corporate real estate strategy, and previously worked with financial group Macquarie as executive director based in Sydney.

London-based online real estate investment platform BrickVest has appointed Frank Noé as partner in the Berlin office. He will be responsible for growing the firm’s presence in the German market.

Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA hospitality team has made the following appointments: Rob Seabrook as partner to lead the transactional activity across EMEA; Ed Fitch has been made a partner, focusing on inbound capital from Asia; Lib Dear joins from CBRE Hotels as a senior surveyor, and partner Borik Vokrinek will join the firm in May as strategic advisory & head of hospitality research EMEA.

Tuffin Ferraby Taylor has appointed Shoaib Shaikh as an associate principal designer in the development and project consultancy team in London.  Sergey Stepanov joins as a building services engineer in Bristol. Katie Brooks has been made an associate surveyor in the development and project consultancy team in London, while Clive Booth will head up the external and internal communications teams.

Jonathan Stockham has been appointed as the new president of the Property Managers Association.

Alder King has appointed Ben Rush as a senior surveyor in its valuation and lease advisory team, and Elaine Summers and Will Acock have been promoted to senior surveyors.

Fidelity International has hired Kim Politzer as director of research to its expanding European real estate business. Based in London, Politzer will join the real estate management team and assume responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the research function.

The planning team at Iceni Projects has appointed John Mumby as a director in the urban mixed-use team, while Ben Peirson and Luke Challenger join as associates in the urban mixed-use team and strategic team.
