Gemma Stubbings (pictured right) has joined Altum Capital from Internos Global Investors as financial controller. Stubbings will be responsible for the financing and financial control of Altum’s investment and development portfolio.
Waterman Group has appointed David Knight (pictured second from right) as regional director of structures in Bristol. Knight joins from Capita, where he led the structures team in Redditch and was responsible for business development and key client relations across the Midlands region.
GVA Newcastle has appointed Matt Verlander (pictured left) as a director responsible for leading the planning development and regeneration team in the North East. Verlander joins from Arup and has over 20 years’ experience managing multi-disciplinary projects. Hannah Furness has joined as an associate in the land and development team. Furness has extensive experience of development viability and feasibility appraisals, and strategic portfolio appraisal and advice. She joins from Capita Property and Infrastructure.
Aprirose has appointed Tim Shearman (pictured second from left) as chief executive officer for hotels. Shearman is charged with overseeing the asset management and growth of the new hotel business. He joins from London & Regional.
AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Justin Travlos as UK head of asset management. Travlos will take up responsibility for the UK business, effective 1 January 2019.
Turley has appointed Mat Jones as a senior director. Jones will continue to lead the firm’s presence in the Midlands and joins the national leadership team. Stephen Taylor has been named national head of design and will guide the urban design team’s expansion across the UK. Emma Dickson has been appointed as a director in the strategic communications team in Manchester and will help clients with stakeholder and political communication planning and development.
Law firm Roythornes Solicitors has appointed property specialist Michelle Moore to its litigation department.
Estate and block management company POD has hired Ryan Collier as operations director and Andrew Froy as director of business development. Both join from FirstPort.
Design consultancy Portland Design has named senior designers, Neil Isles and Graham Needham as associates. Isles has over 20 years’ experience in commercial masterplanning, airport and transport hub projects, while Needham has worked for retail architects and design consultancies for over 13 years.
Fox Williams has recruited Scott Keown as a partner in the real estate team, and Jo Varia has been appointed tax director in the firm’s tax and incentives practice.
UK Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed Guy Bradshaw as director of central London sales & lettings following seven years at Savills. Jack Ballantine has been made director of residential development & investment and previously worked for CBRE. Aree Rand joins from Knight Frank as director for residential sales & lettings for North and North West London.
Residential property developer and investor London Green has appointed architectural technologist James Wyre. He joins from DHP and will work with the architectural team responsible for producing construction drawings and information for sites, on developments in Basildon and Bromley.
Harris Lamb surveyor, Rob Pinks has completed his APC exams and has become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Vanguard Real Estate has appointed Will Hean as development director. Hean has almost 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate, spanning the UK, Far East and Middle Eastern markets. His remit includes opening a Glasgow office, and development opportunities for the firm, as it expands its footprint north of the border.
Claire Higgins, chief executive of CrossKeys Homes, has succeeded Alan Lewin as chair for Homes for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Paul Adams joins Rapleys to lead the project management team in building consultancy with a focus on the automotive and roadside service.
Management and property consultant AA Projects has appointed John Blomeley, Stephen Niels Jacobsen and Karen Sandford as divisional directors.
Rockwell Property has hired Jonathan Manns as its new head of planning and director on its executive board. He joins from Colliers International, where he led their UK regeneration business and London planning team.
The board of directors of Tritax Big Box REIT has appointed Richard Laing as a non-executive director. Laing will join the management engagement and nomination committees and will also take over from Jim Prower as chairman of the audit committee with immediate effect. Prower will remain a member of the audit committee.
Area chief executive Gary Chandler has been promoted to chief executive of Fourfront Group, part of Workplace Specialists. Chandler has over 25-years’ experience in workplace design and fit-out sector and joined Area as a project director in 2004.
Couch Perry Wilkes has promoted long-standing team member Nilesh Mistry to director. During his career at CPW, Mistry has worked on a number of high-profile projects, both within Nottingham and across the Midlands, including the Lincoln Transport Hub.
