Avison Young has promoted Richard Worrall, (pictured left) associate director in the UK capital markets group, to director. Worrall works alongside principal Mark Holliday in the London office, specialising in all aspects of capital markets, including advising on acquiring and disposing of commercial and residential investment opportunities.

Cushman & Wakefield’s global occupier services business has appointed Adam Cookson (pictured second from left) as a partner in the logistics and industrial EMEA team. He joins from Sheffield Insulation Group.

Turner & Townsend Suiko has appointed Martin Barrett (pictured second from right) as managing director. He previously headed up Suiko’s manufacturing and food sector practice.

The Chichester office of Flude Commercial has appointed Mikael Goldsmith to the business space team in the agency department. Daniel Green (pictured right) has joined the professional department and will specialise in business rates.

Colliers International retail division has appointed Lizzie Knights as a surveyor in its central London agency team. Knights joins from BNP Paribas, where she worked in the retail agency and investment teams.

GVA has made the following appointments at its Bristol office. Directors: Tom Harrison, healthcare; and Peter Woodley, strategic advisory sector. In the valuation team, Daniel Smith has been recruited as a surveyor. Lucy Stenzel, Sally Davis and Tom Sadler have joined the planning, development and regeneration team. In the building team, Jorge Fundo joins as a chartered architect, Alessandra Torini as an architectural technologist, and Natalka Jurkiw as a senior secretary.

Graham Bloomfield has joined Arlington Advisors as an investment director from DWPF.

WYG has appointed Stefano Smith as planning director in the Edinburgh office. He joins from Peter Brett Associates and will manage WYG’s planning business in Scotland.

Scanlans has recruited Andrew Ashworth as a senior surveyor in Manchester. He joins from Nolan Redshaw.

Law firm Birketts has recruited Alex Schaafsma as head of real estate finance. Schaafsma joined the firm in 2017 as a legal director.

Citygrove has appointed Nona Atoyan as associate development director responsible for new development opportunities, leasing, project implementation and management. Atoyan previously worked as an in-house counsel for Granville Homes, a US real estate development company.

Colliers International’s EMEA research group has appointed Beatriz Valle as a senior analyst and Istvan Toth as a senior data scientist. They join Damian Harrington, head of EMEA research, who has relocated to Colliers’ EMEA headquarters in London from Helsinki.

TradeRisks has appointed Suzanne Forster as managing director. Forster has 25 years’ experience in the affordable housing and property sector and has held senior executive roles within housing associations and worked in advisory and board roles.

DPP Planning has appointed Tom Wright as a planner in the Cardiff office and Patrick Mottershead as an assistant planner in the Manchester office.

Aitchison Raffety has appointed Rebecca Welch as an associate director. Based in the Birmingham office, Welch will undertake valuations for loan security, general property consultancy and agency work. She joins from Halls Commercial and is a RICS‑registered valuer.

Leeds-based Carter Towler has appointed Charlie Armour as a valuation surveyor to its professional services team.

Rapleys building consultancy group has appointed Simon Harbour as equity partner in Bristol. In the Birmingham office, Chris Barnett, Josie Hays and Arfan Mohammed have been hired as surveyors. Paul Adams has joined the project management service in London. Matthew Bromley has been appointed to set up a new bid consultancy department focusing on public sector frameworks. Jason Mound has joined to develop the land development project management function.

Law firm Roythornes Solicitors has promoted Alice Lees, Emma Hill and Iain Hibbert to partner and Kelly Eagers to associate.

Matthew Jackson has joined Harding Green as a consultant from Chestertons.

Strettons has promoted Britt Clark to associate director at its city and city fringe office. In the east and north London office, Abas Anwar and Sean Crowhurst have been promoted to associate directors in the commercial agency department. Ross Di-lorio has been appointed associate director in the industrial agency. Zita Powers has been appointed head of lettings and management and Louise Munday head of block management.

Erdal Kacar has joined Addington Capital’s new residential management and leasing company, ADDLiving, as head of operations. Kacar will spearhead the launch of ADDLiving to service the growing PRS/BTR sector.

Michael Bristow has been named chief executive of lender CrowdProperty. He succeeds Simon Zutshi, who takes up the role of chairman.

HDD, the developer of retail-led mixed-use schemes, has recruited Guy Scott as project manager. He joins from Arcadis and was formerly the project director of the Lawley Village sustainable urban extension in Telford.
