Cording Real Estate Group has appointed Paul Waggott (pictured left) as fund financial controller in its UK private rented sector. Waggott will work in the UK finance team alongside the commercial and residential investment management teams, with particular focus on Cording’s newly launched £400m UK residential fund.
Katrina Bretten (pictured second from left) has joined Law firm Birketts’ construction and engineering team as a senior associate from Greenwoods GRM. Bretten specialises in non-contentious construction law and is experienced in advising developers, main contractors, sub-contractors and professionals.
Fresh Property Group has appointed Scott Berry (pictured second from right) as commercial and finance director based at its London office.
JLL has appointed Guzman de Yarza Blache (pictured right) as head of its EMEA workplace strategy business. He joined JLL in 2016 as head of workplace strategy & design in Spain, and will continue to cover this role as part of his new position.
CBRE’s hotels and alternative operational real estate in Scotland has hired associate directors, Jonathan Mitchell to the hotels team and Kathryn Bennett in a new role focusing on the alternatives market.
Multi Corporation has appointed Pınar Yalçınkaya Hacaoğlu as the new CEO of the management board of Multi Turkey.
Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Sam Pickles and Luke Seaton to its new apprenticeship programme in Yorkshire and the Humber. Pickles joins from Crawshaw Academy and will work within the Leeds valuation team. Seaton comes from Shelley College and will focus on both LSH’s transactional and consultancy service lines.
Aviva Investors has appointed Mark Meiklejon as head of real asset investment specialists. Based in London, he will lead a newly formed real assets investment specialist team within Global Client Solutions. Meiklejon most recently led the private market global investment teams at Standard Life Investments.
The Birmingham office of Naismiths has appointed Neil Keating as associate director to head up the building surveying team across the Midlands. Ex-Formula 1 engineering firm owner Jack Edwards has been promoted to building surveyor.
Iceni Projects has made the following appointments in its central London planning team: Charlotte Orrell joins as planner; and Isabelle Ward and Alice Hawkins join as assistant planners.
Avant Homes has appointed Lindsay Ramsden as a group strategic land director from Redrow Homes. Grant Westall-Reece has been appointed group director for business development.
Meyer Bergman, the private equity real estate investment manager, has appointed Lee Purcell as global head of investor relations and Sachin Rupani as head of acquisitions. Former Logicor director of acquisitions, Marco Riva has also joined as senior vice-president for southern Europe.
Harris Lamb has appointed graduate ecologist Miles Haslam to its environmental team. The team was established in February and is headed by Holly Smith.
Carterwood has appointed Jane Grimsted as financial controller. Sophie Evans joins as a graduate research analyst and Matt Darragh as a student research analyst.
The Manchester office of Eddisons has appointed Phil Deakin as head of the valuations team and Steve Tasker joins as an associate director. Megan Roe has joined the valuations team as a graduate. In the building and project consultancy team, Thomas Weinmann has been appointed as an associate director and Ritson Carr as a graduate building surveyor.
Malcolm Hollis has appointed Mark Smith as partner and head of cost management in the Birmingham office. Smith joins from Turner & Townsend and has experience working in retail, commercial, industrial, education, leisure and sport sectors.
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has promoted Tor Burrows to director of Placemaking. He will take on the management of the retail and office leasing, heritage and planning, sustainability and marketing teams that support the company’s London estate.
Knight Frank’s prime central London development team has appointed agent Jeremy Pelissier. He previously worked for Beauchamp Estates for 12 years, focusing on the central London residential market, based in Mayfair.
Atrato Capital has appointed Lara Townsend as managing director in new business origination and Sandeep Patel joins as director in finance and compliance.
Aviva Investors has appointed Sue Jarvis as retail asset management director in its direct real estate business. Based in London, she will work on leasing redesign and managing customer relationships with occupiers, alongside responsibility for a portfolio of retail assets across the UK. Jarvis has more than 30 years’ experience working for high street retailers and for the past eight years she has been group property director at New Look.
Law firm Birketts has appointed Paul Squire as a partner in its commercial property team, based at its Ipswich office.
Lichfields in Manchester has appointed Melissa Wilson as a senior planner. She joins from The Environment Partnership where she worked as a senior environmental planner. Wilson has worked on projects across the UK and recently focused on infrastructure and residential planning schemes.
Sue Cocking has been appointed Clarion Housing Group’s regional managing director for the Midlands, northern Home Counties and the North West.
